Who We Are
A community advancing leptospirosis research since 2012.
The European Leptospirosis Society (ELS) is a scientific society uniting researchers, veterinarians and public-health professionals across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Founded in Zagreb in 2012, it promotes harmonised diagnosis, training and collaboration on leptospirosis and rodent-borne haemorrhagic fevers.
Our mission
To promote harmonised diagnosis of leptospirosis and provide up-to-date epidemiological information to health authorities across Europe.
The network
Member institutions across the ERMA region are connected by a shared scientific mission, coordinated from the secretariat at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb.
